The Canton National Art Show, April 27th through April 29th 2012
The Canton National Art Show is a juried, indoor show of the highest quality fine art and fine craft. The show will feature 80 artists, with an emphasis on quality, professionalism and variety. As the Museum presents our third show, it is our vision to develop “The Canton National” into the premier, destination fine art event in the region. The show will be held in the Cultural Center for the Arts, which houses the Canton Museum of Art, in downtown Canton. The building adjoins the Canton Civic Center and is minutes from I-77. April 27– Preview event from 6 to 9 PM April 28 – 10 AM to 6 PM April 29– 10 AM to 5 PM. - Admission: $8, includes free parking. There will be on on-site cafe for the duration of the show. - Establishing a collaborative line of pieces has been the result of determining that people enjoy using and viewing artwork on a daily basis. "We enjoy the daily overlapping of our personal and professional lives and we believe it enhances our individual creativity." Collaboration is an enriching process for theses two artists, and by challenging each other, a balance is achieved, and the contribution of each person's particular skills has here resulted in a product that surpasses what each could achieve alone.

Akron Artwalk First Saturday of the Month
Experience local art, live music and fun for all ages at Downtown Akron's Artwalk. It happens on the First Saturday of the month (except for January and July). Each month is a new and different experience. Free trolley service available. Park near Luigi's and visit the galleries, shops and restaurants in the Northside District.
