New Lamp Designs

We've have some new lamp designs that received great response at our recent show in Baltimore. The design is available in our signature color patterns and each comes with a custom-designed shade. Size is approximately 15"w x 18"t x 6"d. Dimmer switches are standard on all our lamps.

Time Pieces

Time is marching on this new year and we've just started to get back to posting some new items. We've re-designed our table clocks going for more of a "retro look".  Available in all our color patterns. Stop by the studio to see all of our latest work.

New Restaurant Opening Next Door

We are still in mourning over the loss of the VegiTerranean Restaurant next to our studio/gallery. Our friend, chef Scot Jones, has gone on to better things. It didn't take long for a new restaurant to snatch up the prime location and create a new and exciting concept.  Cleveland chef Dante Boccuzzi has partnered with local developer Joel Testa and others to open a restaurant in the former VegiTerranean location in Akron’s Northside Lofts. DBA, which stands for Dante Boccuzzi Akron, is to open by March. Work on a new interior already is underway. Although we will miss all the holiday gatherings at the old restaurant, we look forward, with eager anticipation, to this spring's opening. See you there!

New Platter Designs for the Holidays

Harvest Platter

We have two new platter designs for the holidays. Designed to function as serving vessels, art for the table or a decorative home accent, these are simple forms painted in rich, vibrant colors, pleasing to look at with or without food. All are one-of-a-kind paintings designed with a harmonious color palette for an easy mix and match with other tableware. We have this years, limited edition, holiday platter painted in traditional red and and green with accents of yellow. Our harvest platter has rich greens, purples and pumpkin colors, great to use any time of the year. Food safe, hand wash, no microwave. (Approx. 20.5" x 8.5" x 1").

Japanese Tea Ceremony at the studio

Myoshu Wren and the students from Snowflake Tea Room did a beautiful job presenting a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, Sunday October 16th. We served over thirty people and raised money for the potteries damaged in the March earthquake in Mashiko Japan.

New Display...New Work

We've re-worked and added to our display area at the A.I. Root Company in Medina. If you haven't visited this unique business, you'll be in for a treat when you stop by to view their several showrooms of home accessories plus their signature line of candles produced right in their own production facility in Medina plus you can't miss our work ... it's located in the main gallery space right when you enter. How's that for location!

New Items Coming for the Holidays

We're actually starting to put together our holiday 2011 mailer, and have begun working on some new items to include. These decorative perfume bottles will be added to our holiday gift guide this Christmas. If you would like to check them out before the holidays, stop by the gallery, as we have some nice samples hot out of the kiln (kinda warm, actually).

New Friday Night Tile Workshops begin in September!

We're beginning our Fall Fridays Tile Workshops in September plus two more in October. These will be small, two hour classes that will allow anyone to have fun while exploring their creative side. We'll walk you through every step using different carving and texturing techniques using stamps and molds and at the end of class you'll have created a unique tile that will be ready to pick up in about two weeks. We'll even have it glazed for you!

It's simple to register. Just choose a Friday; September 23, 30, October 14. Classes are 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Cost is $45 per person (16yrs and older).Payment due at time of registration. Sorry no refunds. Register early as space is limited. Light refreshments. Register by phone at 330-253-3808

Summers in Full Swing with the August 6th Artwalk!

Stroll the sidewalks of downtown Akron and visit the many shops, galleries and restaurants during the August Artwalk. It's easy to get around... just hop on the Art Trolley and visit all the locations. Walking maps available at any location or visit the website. Enjoy Akron's hidden treasures! We'll be open early at noon and the Artwalk hours are from 5-10pm.

Get Ready for the Grandaddy of all Art Fairs

The Ann Arbor Art Fairs are upon us. Every year this massive and at times overwhelming art experience takes over the city of Ann Arbor and the lives of hundreds of artists. The South University Art Fair is where our booth is located and is one of the more pleasant areas in all of Ann Arbor during the fair. We are located near Tappan and South University not far from the diag.  Stop by and visit us between July 20th and 23rd. We'll be there, holding down the canopy from 9am to 9pm.
